UNESCAP 7th Round of Funding: Deadline: 25 January 2012


The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) is calling for project proposals to support the implementation of the objective of the Fund to build and enhance tsunami, disaster and climate preparedness capacities for early warning for coastal hazards. The purpose of the Fund is to contribute to more resilient coastal communities, and ultimately contribute to save lives and reduce loss and damage.

NGOs, intergovernmental organizations and governments can apply for this funding support in ESCAP Indian Ocean and Southeast Asian countries such as Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Islamic Republic of Iran, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor Leste and Viet Nam.

To apply for funding, submitting organizations are required to fill out a Grants Application Form and an Activity Work Plan using the templates below. Separate forms should be filled out for each proposal

The maximum duration of the project period can be up to 24 months.
