Sigrid Rausing Trust

Sigrid Rausing Trust is an UK-based grantmaking foundation. It is based in London and has been contributing towards international human rights. It was founded by Sigrid Rausing in 1995. The Trust believes in providing core funding and quite flexible and responsive in its approach. The core programmes under which the Trust makes the funding include: Civil and Political Rights, Women’s Rights, Minority Rights and Social and Environmental Justice.

The Trust has two types of grants given to organizations around the world. The Main Grants are made available to selected organizations only and proposals are invited from them through invitation only. The Main Grants are available between the range of £15,000 and £850,000. The other type of grant is the Small Grants that is more flexible and it can be applied by small organizations. The grants are limited to £15,000 but it is an opportunity to look forward for the Main Grants after successfully implementing projects under Small Grants. The Trust also has an Advancement Grant and an Emergency Grant.
