Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund has announced 7th Call for proposals in Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, DRC, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique for Small Grants (less than USD 10,000). It invites civil society organizations to submit Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) for biodiversity conservation projects in countries within the Eastern Afromontane Biodiversity Hotspot.
Eligibility Criteria
- Non-governmental organizations, community groups, private enterprises, universities and other civil society applicants can apply for funding.
- Projects must be located within the eastern Afromontane Biodiversity Hot spot and Mozambique.
- Organizations must have their own bank account and must be authorized under relevant national laws to receive charitable contributions.
- Government-owned enterprises or institutions are eligible only if they can demonstrate that they have a legal personality independent of any government agency or actor, has the authority to apply for and receive private funds; and may not assert a claim of sovereign immunity.

For small Grants
Applicants must submit a Letter of
Inquiry (LOI) via e-mail in English, French or Portuguese using the
forms available at the website.
For Letter of Inquiry (LOI)
As part of the letter of inquiry,
applicants should submit a Project that contributes to improve the
protection and management of the network of Key Biodiversity Areas
(KBAs).
