The award categories for the year 2011 include: Best Green Int’l Business (Large), Best Green Int’l Business (Med.), Best Green Entrepreneur, Best Green Government Award, Best Sustainable Investment, Best Green Technology Award, Best Green Energy Efficiency, Best Green 4R’s Award, Best Green Intelligent Buildings, Best Green Product Innovation, Best Green Service Innovation, Best Green Edu. & Awareness, Best Green Employee Engmnt, Best Green Not for Profit Org., Best Green Conservation Award, Best Green Water Stewardship, Best Green Ad. & PR Award, Best Green Audio-Visual Award, Best Green Digital Media Award, and Best Green Collaboration. Moreover, there will be Lifetime Achievement Award and Green Celebrity Award.
Launched in 2006 to critical acclaim, the INTERNATIONAL GREEN AWARDS were set up to recognise strategies that use creativity in an engaging and effective manner, leading to more sustainable outcomes. It is now an established event on the global sustainable business-calendar.
The Awards are part of the Royal Society of Arts environment Award Accreditation scheme and all submitted entries require evidence of efficacy and transparency. Previous winners have included Nokia, Marks & Spencer, Toyota and the China Environmental Protection Foundation.
All entries for the INTERNATIONAL GREEN AWARDS 2011 must be examples of work, projects or initiatives that have been previously published commercially, launched or produced between September 2010 and August 2011 on behalf of the entrant company. For specific categories such as packaging, commercialisation must have ensued between September 2009 and August 2011. All work entered must have been broadcast or published prior to the entry deadline of September 1st 2011.
All work entered must be an accurate representation of the original, and must not be altered in any such way to affect the judge’s decision. You are responsible for any and all required intellectual property rights clearance of any work submitted. The INTERNATIONAL GREEN AWARDS will not accept any liability for any third party claims regarding infringement of intellectual property rights.
Entries are encouraged from any UK or international company or organisation that has demonstrated their commitment to ethical, sustainable or green behaviours. Individuals and micro enterprises are also invited to enter the Awards.
Given the deliberately populist and egalitarian nature of this new award, the winner will be chosen via a public vote, using social networks and the INTERNATIONAL GREEN AWARDS website.
