Niwano Peace Foundation is accepting applications for Activity Grant 2014 from individuals and/or organizations with social activities based on any religious spirit or grass-root activities deployed in a local community. The major purpose of the grant is to support activities erupted from religious/spiritual conscience for peace and good of community.
Activities –
Social Activities based on a Religious Spirit – Physical or spiritual activities for individual and community welfare and peace based on a religious spirit that emerges from reverence for God, Buddha, or other Universal Spiritual reality.
Grass-roots Activities Deployed in a Local Community – Activities to vitalize local communities through interdisciplinary workshops and meetings with particular emphasis on collaboration by groups and individuals from diverse organizations and religious groups.
Timeline –
Deadline for First Term Application – 30 April 2014
Deadline for Second Term Application – 13 August 2014
The activities are supported for one year period. The maximum amount dispersed for an Activity is 1,000,000 yen.
Eligibility Criteria –
Applicant can be an individual or an organization from any nationality or established in any country.
Any group which has been in continuous existence for a reasonable length of time is eligible to apply, whether or not it is legally incorporated.
Activities undertaken for the benefit of particular religious group or based on or for the advancement of a specific political ideology are ineligible to apply.
Activities for profit are not eligible for the grant.
Hard copy of the completed application should be received by granters via mail by deadline to be considered for grant.
