Radio Netherlands Training Centre (RNTC) is seeking applications for Training the Trainers certificate course from eligible candidates related to media training in developing countries and countries in transition.
Course aim
To strengthen the capacity of trainers, training organizers and educators working in or for the broadcast sector to assess training needs and design, develop and deliver effective and efficient training solutions.
Methodology: learning by doing
The course will focus on the knowledge, skills and attitudes a trainer, training organizers and/or educators need to organize, design and develop effective and efficient training solutions for their organization. Participants will become familiar with instruments to analyze the broader environment and to formulate the contribution training can make to organizational development as well as improved staff performance. Key concepts in training and education, such as learning objectives, (adult) learning styles, teaching methods, lifelong learning and the learning organization will be analyzed and explored. Participants will learn different techniques for assessing learners and learning needs and for formulating appropriate learning objectives.
Eligibility
All RNTC’s courses are targeted at media professionals from developing countries and countries in transition. If you are working for a media organization, or an organization working with the media, you can apply. For all of the courses from RNTC, the following requirements apply:
- you have a minimum of three years working experience in the media
- your employer supports your participation in the training
- you have followed secondary education, and professional education or training in media
- you are used to work with computers
- your speaking and writing skills in English (the course language) are sufficient
There are no restrictions on the age of the applicants or on the maximum number of participants from one given organization or country. For most of their courses, RNTC has additional requirements, related to the course content.
Specific target group for this course
This course is designed for mid career trainers, training organizers and educators working for broadcasting organizations, training providers (departments, centers, institutes), schools of journalism and broadcasting, or media and communication departments at universities.
