DFID Global Poverty Action Fund Funding Opportunity for NGOs

The UK Department for International Development (DFID) is now accepting proposals for the Impact Window funding under the Global Poverty Action Fund (GPAF) from locally registered civil society organizations for poverty reduction projects linked to the Millennium Development Goals (MDG).
The GPAF focuses on supporting projects on poverty reduction and MDGs. It comprises of two funding windows: the Innovation Window and the Impact Window. While the Innovation Window is for small UK-based organizations, the Impact Window is to support medium-sized UK-based non-profit organizations and locally registered civil society organizations in select 27 countries across Asia and Africa.

The purpose of the Impact Window funding is poverty reduction liked to MDGs. The size of the grants under this opportunity is minimum £250,000 and maximum £4 million for duration of three years.

Projects focused on service delivery; empowerment and accountability; and conflict, security and justice. They have to demonstrate a ‘clear line of sight’ to poverty reduction and achievement of the MDGs i.e. they must deliver real benefits to poor people within the project life span.

A concept note form is available at the link below which has to be downloaded and filled up by the applicants to apply for this funding. The concept note has to be accompanied with a log frame (template provided in the link below). The complete application has to be submitted by email (email address given in the grant guidelines found in the link below. Full proposal will be requested after review of concept note.
