British Academy and The Royal Society are inviting applications from early stage post-doctoral researchers for ‘Newton International Fellowships Scheme’ 2014. The major aim of the fellowships program is to build a global pool of research leaders and encourage long-term international collaboration with the UK.
The fellowship offers £24,000 per year to cover subsistence and up to £8,000 per year to cover research expenses, plus a one-off relocation allowance of up to £2,000.
Eligibility Criteria –
Applicants must be working and be based outside of the UK for at least one year at the deadline.
Applicants should have no more than 7 years active full time postdoctoral experience at the time of application.
Applications must clearly explain the career breaks.
Application must include all relevant information and supporting arguments.
Application must demonstrate evidence of good planning, financial responsibility and measurable outcomes can be as important as excellent research.
Applications must be submitted online through the Royal Society’s Electronic Grant Application and Processing system. Complete application with all relevant information is must because the applicant can’t submit any other materials at the time of application submission.
