The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is inviting early career Russian historians for Paulsen Fellowship Program 2014. The primary aim of the fellowship program is to enable early-career Russian historians holding positions in regional universities to carry out research in British archives and in the British Library.
Fellowships offered are of two categories – one three-month and three one-month. The fellowship amount covers expenses incorporated to travel to conferences and visit scholars in their fields, along with travel expenses from Russia to London and back, accommodation in London and a subsistence allowance for living expenses and research costs. It also assists the fellows in securing visas to visit Britain to take up the fellowship.
Eligibility Criteria –
Applicants must be citizens of the Russian Federation who are historians holding candidates’ degrees and are employed as junior faculty at regional universities.
Basic written and spoken English is required.
Applicants must state whether they wish to be considered for a three-month or a one-month fellowship, or for both. Complete application includes a curriculum vitae in English or Russian, a statement of 2000 words in English, a letter from their department, and a list of publications emailed before deadline.
