Birmingham Law School Scholarships

The Birmingham Law School will be offering a number of scholarships to applicants for its taught LLM programmes.

The Birmingham Law School Scholarships are up to £5,000 for international students from the African continent.

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Applicants must already have applied for admission to the LLM degree.

Scholarship Requirements:

·         Students with lower second class law Honours degrees will also be considered if supported by strong academic references and where some modules were of good upper second class standard.

·         An overseas qualification of equivalent standard, whether from a common law, civilian or other jurisdiction.

·         A UK Honours degree of at least upper second class Honours standard (or an overseas qualification of equivalent standard) in a non-law subject, where the applicant can demonstrate substantial relevant experience.

Applicants are required to send a letter of motivation for the scholarship to Mrs Sharon Jones (Law-LLM@bham.ac.uk) by the deadline date and this should address the twin requirements of academic merit and financial need.
