LLM in Human Rights Law at Transitional Justice Institute - University of Ulster

The Transitional Justice Institute (TJI), in conjunction with the School of Law, offers an innovative LLM programme for those wishing to acquire a critical understanding of the increasingly complex national and international legal environment where human rights and transitional justice issues are very much to the fore.
The programme is offered on a full-time and part-time basis at both the Jordanstown and Magee campuses. It is intended primarily for law graduates, legal practitioners, or those with experience working in the human rights field.

The course will equip students with key skills relevant to meeting the emerging challenges in the fields of human rights and/or transitional justice.

The LLM covers core human rights law (and students will gain unique insights into its theoretical and practical application) but also enables students to take elective modules with an emphasis on transitional justice mechanisms in conflicted and transitional societies.

There are a small number of scholarships available for exceptional candidates and international students are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applications received by June will be given priority. However applications received after that date may also be considered.
